A shifter, then. That just made Jericho's mood all the more sour. He envied them, for their control. He had none and his ability was more of a curse than anything. Jericho had lived a long, long time in solitude. He'd never trusted anyone with the knowledge of what he was. Well, he had, once, but that had been a disaster. The person he thought had been a friend had overreacted, grabbing a gun. He'd been forced to kill them, but Jericho felt no real remorse. He was far too jaded for that.
"Hmmph. Lucky you." Jericho commented dryly. His expression turned into one of strict annoyance as Sky failed to answer his question.
"You refuse to give me your name, then you ask mine?" The laugh that left him was more of a bark, bitter and cold. " You really are a fool." Jericho said, gaze turning hard as he glared at the female.
"Fine. If that's how you want to play things, I want no part of it." With that, Jericho pushed past her and was off walking once again, his pace slow but strong. The wolf obviously lacked any social graces and was easily offended.

"Hmmph. Lucky you."
She held back another smirk, and said quietly. " Problem? " She would tell there was something up about him after she mentioned that. She eyed him as his annoyance seemed to get stronger.
"You refuse to give me your name, then you ask mine?"
She shot him a strange look, as he barked afterward.
" You really are a fool."
She ignored his glare. He didn't seem as intimidated as he wanted her to seem. It was like he was putting on an act, but she didn't trust it. There wasn't much of him she did trust, and there was nothing about her he trusted either. they had something in comment, to say the least.
"Fine. If that's how you want to play things, I want no part of it."
He brushed passed her, as she smirked as he turned away, making sure he didn't see it. " I'm surprised you're able to talk at all. " She muttered cautiously, shifting herself to face him, standing her ground at the moment. " My name is Sky, if you really cared at all. " She could tell he didn't. She let out a small snort, watching him. She asked for the second time.
" Whats your name.. ?"
Her voice was slightly stronger, but not enough to possibly pose a threat.

Was she still speaking? She was, and that fact alone surprised Jericho. He turned and threw a look over his shoulder, staring at Sky as if trying to peer into her, to read her intentions. Slowly he turned, so slow that the action appeared graceful, despite his haggard appearance.
"That's better." He said, voice portraying a hint of satisfaction. If there was one thing that he could not stomach, it was someone being smart with him, disrespectful. Never mind the fact that he himself was rude and abrasive.
" Sky," He repeated her name in that rumbling voice of his, as if testing it. Easy enough and it wasn't strange in the least. Jericho grew silent and for a stretch of time it didn't appear as if he was going to respond, to return the gesture, but he did.
"I am Jericho." The wolf revealed with a slight incline of his head. He took a single step towards her, adopting that proud stance of his. Head held up high, chest out.
" It's not often I find those willing to pursue conversation with me." He said and if he was impressed, it didn't show. His voice was factual, matter-of-fact.

"That's better."
Her expression didn't change however. Great, she was knocked up a bit on his ranks, but what exactly would that do her? She wasn't sure, but she hoped he'd cut the crap now, but she doubted that. She heard him mutter her name, which she reacted and said nothing to that. Her ears flicked a bit again, remaining at a stance, not in a sitting position. The silence sank in, noticing he didn't seem like he was going to say anything, but completely caught off guard, he spoke.
"I am Jericho."
Hm. Never heard that name before. Interesting. She watched as he moved forward, head held high and chest out. She remained standing, being slightly smaller then him, but not by too much. If she formed into a dire, she'd probably be larger, but being a mere timber she was smaller at the moment, and she didn't need to show off to him, he seemed rather annoyed she was a shifter already. She couldn't configure that one.
" It's not often I find those willing to pursue conversation with me."
' Gee, I wonder why.. ' She thought, cutting him a bit of slack, now that he was willing to cut her some. She glanced at him, still standing, eyes lightened up a bit, expressionless face. " Nice to meet you, Jericho.. " she paused for a second. " I guess thats what happens when your alone all the time. " A brow irked up a bit, eying him. " Seems like you prefer to be alone.. " She said, not trying to pose a threat or insult, more as a comment, toward herself.

Jericho wasn't wondering what was going on in Sky's mind, nor did he care what made the shifter work, what made her tick. He knew that this meeting would be brief and he would likely never cross paths with her again. As such, who she was really wasn't of consequence. The wolf had decided, but not without chagrin, to humor the other by sticking around a while longer.
"Hm." The noncommittal sound left him and Jericho made no gesture to return Sky's "nice to meet you" comment. He wasn't sure if it was nice to meet her so there was no point in lying, even if it was just to be polite. That was his logic, that and Jericho was just plain rude. It was just the male's nature and he wasn't likely to change at any time.
He did cock his head, however, when the female began to speak what he considered nonsense. Briefly he entertained the thought that she was feeling sorry for him, but cast that annoying possibility aside. She didn't care, he didn't care, she was just speaking for the sake of speaking.
He grunted, the sound seeming amused, if dryly, if darkly.
"Alone? Yes. I prefer to be alone. I find most others are idiots, fools, clumsy and worthless wastes of air and space." Jericho said, smirking bitterly. He knew she wouldn't take the comment well, or thought as much. And because of that he was amused and satisfied.

She eyed the brute as he let out a small disgraceful 'hm' and left it at that. Of course, she wasn't excepting a cheery ' nice to meet you too ', in his view, that was be disgusting. Probably even more revolting then her standing in front of him. She didn't seem to care anyways. She rolled her shoulders briefly as he spoke, full sentence with time. Lovely.
"Alone? Yes. I prefer to be alone. I find most others are idiots, fools, clumsy and worthless wastes of air and space."
With that he smirked. He actually, did something but grunt and grumble, and through rude comments at her. Well, that was a first for the night, maybe the only few smirks he'd even done in his life. She gave herself a small thought of shrugging, but didn't actually shrug. She let out a small yawn, not even to show that she was actually yawning though, mostly kept her mouth shut while doing this.
" Thats a matter of opinion. " She shrugged, for real now, noticing his bitterness in his smirk. " You think of me however you want. " She gave him a look, and looked up, seeing the darkness in the sky. She wanted to sit and chat with him more, but he didn't seem interested in doing that at all. She decided to bite the bullet and ask.
" Where are you headed, anyways? "
She was motioning toward him constantly walking away from her, and at the direction he was facing. He had to have been going somewhere. She stopped thinking about other things for a second and put her mind on him.

"It is a matter of opinion, and I just gave you mine." Jericho said, smug, his expression dictating as much. There was no rhyme to reason behind how Jericho acted. It was just within his nature to be cruel, to be mean. Any warmth of character had been buried so far down and under bitterness and time that he didn't even bother digging it up. There was no point in being friendly with anyone because no one was worth being friends with.
Everyone was out to look after themselves, selfish, self-involved. Betrayal was always a possibility so there was no point in bothering. People just, plain and simply, weren't worth the effort. Jericho wasn't blind to the fact that he was now among those ranks of selfish individuals. It had served him well enough, that self-interest. He was still alive. He was surviving.
" Why do you even care?" The wolf asked, looking in the direction he'd been moving in. A sigh, a dark, indiscernible mumble.
"If you must know, I'm looking for a safe place to be in when my shift occurs." That wasn't the full truth, Jericho already knew where he was going. He didn't have to look, he'd planned it out. The wolf had stashed away some clothing for himself, something he learned a long, long while ago.

"It is a matter of opinion, and I just gave you mine."
She said nothing, watching him, still. He was quite the character, for her to say the least. She just had to get use to his.. attitude. Which didn't seem like too much of a problem.
" Why do you even care?"
Pause for a second. " Didn't seem like you really- " She was cut off when he spoke again. She didn't make much thought about him doing that, seeing as how she should have just waited. Either way, she didn't really feel like fussing with him. She was shocked he still was here.
"If you must know, I'm looking for a safe place to be in when my shift occurs."
Her ears perked for a second, glancing at the sky. She held back another smirk, taking a seat, getting tired standing. " Really? Far away is it? " She glanced back at him, ears flicked for a second. " Seems a little early to be doing that. " She shrugged and kept under the radar for a second. " Of course thats just my opinion. " She shot him a sneaky look, but, still, nothing too threatening.
She stood back up, ear flicked once more. She didn't care much about his dry and rude comments or words, she simply had gotten used to it by now, and it showed, in a strange way. " You live in the urban area? " She just let that slip out again.

First the female had been acting so scared and unsure now, now she seemed to be emulating him. It was like she was two different wolves. Odd, Jericho thought, but he didn't really care. It wasn't within him to feel concerned or interested enough to think on the matter much. All he really wanted to do was carry on with his night in peace, with only the moon and the trees to keep him company. Sometimes he honestly wished he was the only soul alive on the planet so that he might traverse the world without worrying about running into others. People, other sentient life forms, he honestly despised them all. You couldn't trust them.
"Don't try and be smart with me, wolf, " The male warned, voice a dark rumble. " I've my reasons and you best not question them again." Disrespectful, that's what she was, whether or not she intended it or not. Her words came across as snarky and Jericho did not appreciate them.
"Do you honestly think I'm going to tell you where I live?" Jericho scoffed, "Even a hint, an indication as to where I take up residence?" That was laughable. " I don't even know you." He couldn't trust her and he wouldn't. This is what Jericho was, a paranoid, solitary and abrasive beast.
" You best watch your tongue; I don't like where it takes this...this... conversation." Was it really even a conversation? Sky spoke, Jericho snapped back. Why she persisted in lingering around was beyond Jericho.

"Don't try and be smart with me, wolf, I've my reasons and you best not question them again."
Seemed fair enough. Her mouth ran off sometimes, but he sure as hell was lucky this wasn't during the day. Thats besides the point. She wasn't going to tell him that she was bipolar. She hated it enough was it was. Her ears rolled back, even further now, remaining silent and giving him a strange look, but nothing serious. Just like she hadn't understood that she said something wrong. Although taken by his personality, it seems like he was lucky to have a conversation with anyone, and yet she came by to see why he would never have a conversation with anyone.
"Do you honestly think I'm going to tell you where I live? Even a hint, an indication as to where I take up residence?"
Her face turned expressionless. Something about her seemed to just piss him off, which she wasn't even sure why. That was besides the point. " Of course not.. " She muttered lowly, not that she really wanted to know. He didn't seem like much of the one to want to know. Although slowly keeping him here was her plan, due to the fact that she hated being alone. Even being with this old man was worth it, even if it meant getting her throat cut open. But that wouldn't happen, she wouldn't let it happen. She had a backup plan in case looking at him made him so ticked off.
" I don't even know you."
She said nothing toward that. She could agree, but decided to remain silent. Her eyes trailed off to the trees. It seemed as if there was nothing much to talk about, but she would probably end up following him until she got bored. More then just her words were ticking him off. Possibly the presence of her being there did, but she didn't care. If this.. were was going to be a grouch to every creature he meets, why would he even bother being on the earth? Low rumble emitted from the male as she moved her eyes in the direction to him, after wandering off from thoughts.
" You best watch your tongue; I don't like where it takes this...this... conversation."
' Conversation? More like a constant bicker and bitching.. . ' she thought, still remaining silent. She got the thought of leaving, but she had the urge to say something to him, but never managed to get it out. Her face was still expressionless at the moment, ears slowly lifted, as she took a stand, seeing the large buzzard still standing. ' Seems like he is looking in the mirror now.. Get a snappy comment for everything you say.. '
" I'll have you know I had no intension's of flushing information out of you. I shift like you, I would never throw information like that out to someone I just met. See I don't exactly see why I would do it to others. " Her voice was calm, and show no sign of aggression, or any emotion for that matter. If he had snapped at her for those words, well.. " I have my reasons, as well, Jericho. " She paused and refrained from saying anything else, letting her mouth run again wouldn't help the situation.
