Dannie was walking slowly, she stumbled, she didnt bother to rise; she didnt want to, but she stood up and continued anyway. she saw a rabbit and thought 'i cant hunt, what is the use of that' she sighed scaring the rabbit away. she gave a loud yelp as the pups squrirmed in her womb, she wimmpered then continued.
She found mice, oh she knew she could catch mice, so she tryed catching mice. After around 20 she finaly couldent find more, so she continued to look for a place to give birth, knowing that she was soon to give birth. Her luck found the perfect den; it was underground, and it had tree roots all around the entrance.
As she walked up to it she groaned as a pup kicked again, she leaned down and tore some roots away so she could get inside the den. Once inside she cleaned it out, thinking 'i hope someone doesnt kick me out of here - this is where i want to have my pups' she finnished cleaning it out and went out for a few seconds dragging soft leaves and a couple thick branches in.
As soon as she finnished the den; putting the birthing area together, she slept on it, she knew that she was due some time soon, so she lyed there waiting to see if anyone had heard or seen her, and come to see what was wrong or going on.

She slept till dawn and she couldent get up she, stayed down and howled for someone to help her. she sighed and put her head down, "i.. i.. i dont know what to do" she told herself, she started to whine and cry as the pups squermed and kicked in her belly, she howl-barked trying to give her position away for anyone near. she wimmpered and whined for someone to come along, and help her through her first birthing.

The big burly male walked through the forest thoughtfully he heard an scared howl from near by. he walked quickly to the entrance of the den she was in. he poked his head through the roots that covered the entrance and said "whats wrong?" he looked into her eyes as she yelped as her body was trying to push the pups out. he pushed him self into the den and curled up next to the fea. he said "hey, calm down and push calm dow and push" and made coaning sounds.

the fea stoped struggling and did as he said, she pushed and whined as the pup droped to the floor, she grabed the pup and cleaned the male puppie till he was dry. she pushed him to her teat as pain shot through her body she winced and pushed for three minutes and finaly after a half hour she had given birth to four lovely hellhound/timber wolf pups, two male and two female. she looked up at the male and said "thank you, sir. i am Dannie, what is your name?" her eyes smiled as she looked down at her pups.

"thank you, sir. i am Dannie, what is your name?"
"BlackPelt, no problem Dannie" he told her standing he went out side and started to hunt leaving naming to her. he came back a little later with a deer draging behind him, he tore a bit of meat off and gave it to Dannie as the pups drank their milk.

she nodded to BlackPelt as she stared at her pups lovingly, when he left the den she whined, but then looked to the pups and named them: Black Mouth, the first born male. White Ear, the Second born, but First Born Female. she didnt name the Pure Black Pup, thinking she may get a better name. she looked at the last one and said "you are... Ice Step" she looked them over and said " Black Mouth, White Ear, No Name, and Ice Step" she licked their tiny heads and looking up she saw the male with meat in his jaws, she murmured her thanks and gently took the meat and devoutred it. she curled up around the pups and fell a sleep as the male stood watch just out side of the den.

he watched the hellhound eat then stood up silently and said "sorry miss, i... i have to go." and he ran off through the snow thinking 'why did i stop?' he growled and snarled at him self before long he was as as far away from the Hellhound female as possible.

Dannie looked up from her pups as the male ran off, she felt tears fall down her face as she saw him dissipear, the pups slept after they finnished feeding, she stood up and walked out into the snowy world and shook her dusty pelt. she howled a lonly song, hoping that anyone would hear her lonly song... she heard her pups crying for her warmth, she stood and streached, then entered the den and lyed down and curled up around her pups as she waited for someone to come and keep her company.

Senharu had been wadering around as usuall. The hellhound never stayed in one spot, he was always loking, but nobody would ever find out what it was he was looking for. He had been walking for a while and had been counting his steps. "889, 890... 893, 894..." His quiet vioce was interrupted when a singsong howl for company, broke into his thoughts. It sounded female, he slowly but surely deviated from his orginal path and to the howls source.
He came upon a few lone trees, that was odd, you almost never saw trees out here. It took him a while to find the Fea's scent through the ice and snow, but he did, and he found the hidden entrace to the den too. Senharu wasn't stupid, he had street smarts. When a fea was giving, or had been giving birth he knew that they were usually hostile. He could scent the newborns and their mother now.
poking his head slightly into the den he said in his most polite tone, which usually was never heard, but this was a family, and he respected familys, "Could I help in anyway?" He kept his guard up, ready to run at anymoment. He wouldn't dare try to defend himself aginst a mother, if he hurt her he would never forgive himself.

she heard the soft crunching of the snow she stood up as a head came through the entrance,
"Could I help in anyway?"
she smiled and said "Well..." she turned her head towards her pups and sighed her ears back, she looked at the male and said "Its my first litter" her head went low and she stared lovingly at the pups.
She heard White Ear start crying and stood up, and curled around her pups, looking up to the brute she said "You may come in" she looked down and said "I am Dannie, may i ask your name?" she said this shyly since she had noticed he was...
quite a bit bigger than she was. She looked up, her blue and red eyes showed; she was weak, from resent birthing. She placed her head on her paws and sneezed, she only curled up around her first litter of pups and sighed as she felt herself shiver.

"...my name's Senharu, what's your's?" Senharu had never been in this type of conversation before, he shocked at himself for actually caring, and then he noticed a slight glimpse of... fear, maybe? "It's okay I won't hurt them." He nodded his head in the pup's direction, her sneeze and shiver told him that she wasn't just tired, she could have a cold. But that didn't matter right? Senaharu didn't know anything about cures or sickness.
The other hell hound was a good foot shorter then he was. maybe that's what supposedly scared her. He skillfully snaked his thin body through the hole. Years of living a life of wander made you thin and gaunt, ready for anything, nothing surprised him. He saw the pups, and something...something indescribable flashed in his eyes, it wasn't evil intent, no nothing like that, it was the opposite.
A gust of snowy wind poured in through the opening in the den, Senaharu's thick coat and years of endurance made it seem as the the snow blowing against him wasn't there. He didn't even feel it. His hard black orbs stared back down at the pups, how long had it been since he had been that way? He didn't know, he couldn't tell you how old he was, Senharu couldn't even tell you the names of his family. And now he'd gone to far to come back, he'd never see them again, only his fuzzy old memories to guide him. To him there was no one else, they were just scenery like the plants and trees, nobody was real to him, not even the new born pups infront of him.
And it still bugged him, why had he stopped? Why hadn't he just kept going, life had taught him that kindness got you nothing, in return you got mugged. But still he had stopped, selfishness had saved him uncountable times in this cruel world, but still he had stopped, again why? He didn't know, maybe it was what he knew he never had, and so he stopped to see what he missed out on in his own life. He seemed like he was in a trance, but a small whimper of one of the pups brought him back to reality.

she stayed quiet and her body shook; she was quite cold. her fur wasn't yet thick, and she was weak and sharing body heat she didn't have, she had a spasm of shakes as the wind blew into the den she looked up and said at last "nice to meet you, Shenharu" she stammered "i am Dannie, or you could call me Sa..." she heard a whimper and pushed White Ear, Black Mouth, No Name, and Ice Step to her warmer belly, she had stopped shaking and asked "could you please push the Roots over the entrance it will keep it warmer and less snow at the entrance" she put her head near her pups and thought 'i love them so much, i wish i could find someone to love forever....' she shook her head to rid her self of such thoughts and looked up at the large male and said "you may stay here if you wish it" she put her head on the ground behind her pups and her tail over the pups. she slowly fell asleep but before she did she showed in her eyes trust, and hoped he wouldn't leave like that so called 'friend' that had abandoned her. she glanced at the male before her breathing went quiet and her heart beat went slower as she slept.

"Nice to meet you Senahru," she stammerd, "I am Dannie or you could call me Sa..." She was cut off as a pup whimperd, "could you please push the roots over the entrance it will keep ot warmer and less snow at the entrance."
Senharu wordlessly turned around and went up to the narrow entrance. He quietly pushed the roots back into place.
"You may stay here if you wish it."
"I will." Senahru said, but didn't think she had heard him. Dannie seemingly just fell asleep. He quietly watched her and her pups thinking what he had missed when he was that small and helpless. He turned back around and looked out through the criss crossing roots, he looked at all the snow falling, and the few scraggly trees around this area. He stood like a statue, watching over the frozen lands of ice and snow.

the day went quickly, her weakness turned to strength her pelt also got a little bit thicker but her eyes were tired she finnished nursing the pups then standing asked "will you hunt with me? i dont know my way around to well" she steped over her paw steps soft and never missplaced, she looked at him as she waited for his answer.

"Will you hunt with me? I don't know my way around to well."
"Well neither do I, though I might have been here before, I normaly wander where ever my paws take me. But I know this country well enough so I can guide you around." Senaharu quickly turned around and pushed through the roots in his way. A fresh blast of ice cold snow hit him in the face as he came out, shaking his body to puff up his fur for extra warmth he truded off following his nose, he caught a slight scent of snowshoe rabbit on the cold breeze.

she nodded and slowly followed him out, she felt the cold blast but is was too cold for her still light coat she puffed up as best as she could against the biting wind and closed the roots and bound after Senaharu and lying onm her belly she had her mouth closed as best as she could and closed her eyes only to hear her pups Screaming. she looked up at the male then turning on heel she bolted to see a very hungry fox trying to get at her pups. being a first time mother she steped forwards and bared her large upper canines, the fox turned the with a yelp it shot off. she sighed and shook her self, she walked into the now very open den and cleaned the pups then curled around them to keep them warm. and said softly "i hope senaharu, didn't mind my run off...." she looked down, she had nearly lost her first litter. she curled up tighter and kept them warm well she watched for Senharu, they would have to move the pups.
~you want me to fast forwards, so then the pups have their eyes open, that would be after the move ^-^~
