It's summer!
Just prodding to board to see if I can't magically generate more activity. I know there are people lurking about, they just need to be lured into some form of activity!
So what do you all have planned for the summer?
I'm actually taking a five-week summer school class (Drawing IV) to suck up time during the hottest part of the day (I am in Arizona after all and it gets too hot to do much outside between 11 and 4 anyway).
Apart from that I plan on spending time with my husband and our small herd of horses, particularly working with the monster stinky baby horse (not even a year and a half old and the filly weights over 900lbs and stands 15hh!).

I know! It's a good thing she's pretty well broke (halter and on the line at least) or else we'd be in serious trouble! Her mom's about 15.3hh, but I fear the monstrous Strudel horse is going to be larger!
Ah, Kayaking would be fun! I've only done it a couple of times, but I'd like to get myself one of those boats! If you were in my area I'd say come on over, always looking for someone to ride with.

Her name's actually Cinnamon Strudel (she's a chestnut and had she been a palomino like her mama we would have called her Apple Strudel). "Monster" and "Stinky" are just affectionate curses *grin.* What we don't get is that we got to see the stud when we purchased the mare (she was in foal, but not confirmed yet, I still remember the lady saying "she might be pregnant!" as we tried her out) and he didn't appear to be anywhere near as big as Sunny (the mare). I guess in three years when she's close to five we'll find out just how big she's going to get, heh.
Of course, next to my husband's Belgian mare she's still a bit of a shrimp, which is reassuring. We tried ponying Strudel from her yesterday. The big Belgian lady was none to happy having the stinky Strudel horse that close to her, but both managed to survive!

Thankye, I'll be sure to let her know! She's quite well put together and has this loving expression. She follows people around seeking love and if she thinks one of the other horses is trying to "steal" her love she'll chase them off!
Chewy's not quite as people-oriented, but she's an awesome lesson horse, especially for beginners. (And she's really not that base narrow in front, she didn't want to get very close to Ruby). I rather like their sorrel color too (lighter mane and tail on chestnut horse and generally lighter below the knees and hocks too).

Alas, the distance!
Indeed, they're quite good horses, though and its fun to notice all of their little personality quirks.

I used to have gerbils. My last one, Alek passed around the age of four. Unfortunately rodents don't live too terribly long, however with horses they're in your life for a VERY long time and its quite a shock when, well, they're not. The horse that I learned to ride on (who was also my grandpa's first horse) passed away in December at the age of 29.

Ya. It is sad, but the two males wern't very old O.o they were like 4-5 months old! Leroy on the other paw, was like... almost 3.
Thats sad O.o but nothing lives forever... Sadly O.O,

Such is the way of life! All the more reason to appreciate it as it is!
Hey, do you have a character you're itching to RP at the moment?
