The most prompt features of Lee, which everyone seems to notice right away prior to first meeting, is that she's A. pale and B. short.
The pale skin is more or less a nuisance though, especially since she's a physically active girl (she has to be, obviously) and makes her susceptible to sunburn. She's completely unable to darken (except maybe an insignificant little) and just goes from lobster red to white again. To make matters worse, Lee's highly allergic to poison ivy and usually gets at least two wicked cases of it a year which leave her immobile for about a week each. Somehow, she's avoided scars from that, except a very small one on her right arm, but it's so teeny tiny that even SHE forgets its there.
As for being short... it's... pretty self-explanatory. Most people have to look down at her since her head usually reaches their shoulders. She's gotten used to it though, so she doesn't really mind, but it's annoying in the means of clothing. Lee is a hoodie whore. Her sleeves are way too big for her and she has to hem her pants so they don't fall over her feet. Lee likes long sleeves though; in fact, she's a lover for baggy clothing in general. Likewise, she cannot stand wearing tight pants; she'll wear a tight shirt, but not pants. The reason may possibly be connected to self-consciousness about her legs, even though there's nothing really wrong with them appearance wise.
Build wise, she's actually kinda stocky. No, defiantly doesn't have the supermodel shape at all, in fact, she's a little chubby. Not fat, but not thin either. Also, her face is somewhat short with a rounder jaw and chin, where it's easiest to see the Italian blood.
Lee's hair is very dark (people tend to color her with a reddish tint) and is typically worn in a bun when she's either working or doing something physical. For lounging around it'll either be in a ponytail or just let down; once it's down, it reaches just past her shoulder blades.
Her eyes are most certainly her oddest trait. Geneticists refer to them as 'chameleon' eyes, as they change colors and taints frequently, especially influenced by weather and mood. Her primary shade is a weird golden color, but they vary from green to blue as well- also things in between.
The necklace that you'll see featured in a lot of pictures are called Ghost Beads- according to Native American folk lore, they ward off bad luck and ill-tempered spirits. She wears them all the time, unless it's a special occasion. Lee loves necklaces and charms, so she's likely to be wearing one.
Lee's very optimistic, even a little too optimistic, and could be considered overly laid back. She's lazy and easily distracted when she's doing something she doesn't enjoy or think is worth her time. She's a procrastinator at heart and marvelous multi-tasker, and somehow she manages to produce amazing work at the very last minute... and I DO mean last minute. This tends to piss off perfectionists. She's a lucky person, always has been, and she can usually weasel her way out of bad situations. The most random things always seem to happen to aid in her favor. Of course, it might just be that Lee tries to find good in just about everything. EXCEPT people, especially girls. This is where she gets a little quirky.
Lee is less prone to have girl friends because she's generally unsympathetic towards her own gender. It mostly has to do with growing up in a generally 'womanized' family consisting over very overbearing females, so instead of always taking the girl's side, she feels more inclined to ally with the guy. She also does not like being touched by girls unless they're great-super-awesome friends, and by touch I mean by signs of affection, like hugs or putting a hand on her. She has no problem at all if a guy touches her, but all the girl friends she ever had learned fast that Lee's a "DO NOT TOUCH ME UNLESS I KNOW YOU" person. If someone she isn't familiar with (especially female) comes up and hugs her, she'll tense up and, depending on the situation, might physically remove them.
Friend-wise, Lee's surprisingly loyal. She tends to defend them aggressively even if they did something to deserve obvious punishment. She'll also overlook bad points until someone throws them at her face, and even then she's likely to deny it or find a reason to try and make it acceptable. She's also naive in the same sense, since she'll so stubbornly defend her buddies. For example, if her a friend of hers knocked up a girl and got her pregnant, Lee would say "the girl was the whore' instead of the other way around. If you were to insist otherwise, she would hardheadedly continue to insist "no, she got herself pregnant'. She'll do anything she can to help friends, which is why her couch has housed more people then the local motel.
As a rule, she doesn't like conflict. At all. She tends to get very sarcastic and mean around people who've rubbed her the wrong way, and will subconsciously make them feel like dirt without a second thought. Later, though, she feels bad about it. Hating this annoying cycle, she just tries t avoid fights all together. She'd much rather let someone ELSE be the headstrong asshole. Except.. well, when she does get very fired about something, she can actually get very nasty and dirty. The more annoyed she gets, the more impulsive she gets. It's not good when she gets impulsive. She tends to act/speak without thinking and then just roll with it, which is the main reason she really did leave home, not just threaten. She literally woke up one day and said "I'm going to leave and not come back" and lo and behold, that's what she did. She's also all about instant gratification. For example... say Lee wanted to buy some potato chips, and there was a snack stand across the room for 1.20$ a bag. Down the hall, still in plain sight, is another snack machine, this one for 60 cents a bag; which machine would Lee buy from? She'd pick the 1.20$ one because it's right there, despite the fact that saving herself money is only a short walk down the hall. This is also very bad considering her pyromania. If she's tired or pissed off, she's much more inclined to pull out the matches (she can't use a lighter... can never figure out how to work the things). She's lit a few big things on fire, including her apartment a few times, a park bench and the local library, and has a habit of sticking tar on a tooth pitch, lighting it, and holding it in her teeth when she's bored.
Lee grew up in a typical family, consisting of a favored younger sister, her never-stops-whining-mother and her dad who... got mad when favored-younger-sister and Lee did not get along. Or rather, when Lee did not suck up to favored-younger-sister. Lee was the rather obvious black sheep in the family and could never quite live gain respect from her mother, who remained completely unsupported of her writing career, or avoid being the scape goat. So, she left home right after graduation and started traveling, to both satisfy her restless nature and to just get away from the house before it ended in a blow out fight. Unfortunately, she left a little too late to avoid that, and she had a very nasty spat between all of them before actually taking off. She actually hitchhiked and road tripped with friends for a while before eventually getting herself an apartment. Currently, she's busy working two jobs (one at the local kennel as the dog-washer and another writing short stories for the newspaper's creativity column) and collage classes. But, her couch is always opened for friends who need a place to crash for the night.
Also, her 'roomie', Paletown, sleeps on her porch/balcony.
