The sound of metal hitting the wooden floor brought the elf into the waking world. Her long ear twitched before a flashing violet eye peeped open. The pupil casted to the side, seeing the one of the bracelets that had been on her wrists was what caused the disturbance, as she had stretched out her arm sometime over the night across the hammock. It was still early in the morning, the soft orange glow lighting the room only dimly. The light danced over the silver and gold clothing on the floor, making the bright gems sparkle pleasantly. Even the jewelry that had only been half attempted to throw off glittered in various areas. The rest was still on her body.
The first morning. Kaylii made a small smile at the thought of it, before a large yawn caught her lips. Her eye closed again and she leaned to the side, bringing her arm back around her new husband, cheek rubbing his affectionately. They had decided that leaving as soon as possible for the human tradition Kai-wen liked to call 'honeymoon', but that seemed almost impossible now. She found her way back into the fur blankets and soft cloth sheets, keeping away from the chilled morning and the light of dawn. Staying next to him sounded like a better plan, feeling his sweet soft skin against hers, and the comforting sound of his heart that sung to her every night as she slept. And now, she could hear that song forever..
Despite the small aches her body experienced caused during the night, and the annoyance of the jewelry that covered her because of their being too impatient to take it all off, she had never felt so much glee before in her life. Her, Kaylii, married... to a wonderful and caring man, who loved her. He had risked his life for her countless times, shown her more than anyone else could, taught her how to live. So many times he told her it was nothing, that he really wasn't as wonderful as she deemed him to be... But she knew in her heart he was, and will forever be. She had forever now to show him that truth.
Deciding that perhaps it was time to try and encourage them to wake, whether he was already or not, she finally lifted her head from his chest and peeked from under the covers, finding his gentle lips and presented a sweet kiss to start their day.
"Good morning my loving husband." She whispered quietly, leaning down some to kiss at his neck with a little smile.
