Dannie woke with a jolt. Oh ya... She had gotten seperated from her pups. She looked around, then noticed she had fallen off a small bluff(15 feet) She stood up and looked at what she had fallen on, Thick grass. She sighed. Dannie was half hellion, and half Timber wolf, She looked around and shook her head, When she opened her eyes it was clear she was that of a hellion. She had duo colored eyes and a set of glossy, small antlers.

Kywehn was traveling as had become a habit of hers. She wasn't really quite sure if she'd ever find others like herself, but the possibility kept her moving forward. Wingtips flitted and reshuffled along her back as she walked, the bold back spots on her white primaries mostly hidden by the golden coverts and red covlets. Large, piercing blue eyes were alert and clear, framed above by a read patch and below by fine black feathers that traced her yellowed beak and ran along her jaw. Small black ears with white eye spots flicked this way and that, catching the noises of the day, the black-and-white feathered crest was relaxed and low. Her coat and feathers were a blending of large golden and red areas traced in black with a dark dorsal and white ventral.
She paused a moment and cocked her head to the side, right ear twitching slightly followed by a slight rise in her crest in interest. What an interesting smell, it wafted into her nares and she tilted her head to the other side as she assessed where it was coming from, just up the hill. The confidence of youth took her into a buoyant trot up the shallow incline. She paused just before the top of the rise and dropped to her belly before crawling forward.
Her large head peaked over, ears pricking forward and crest raising in profound curiosity. This was something quite new. The antlers on the creatures head reminded her vaguely of the horns of the Zaub, but this was no large felid, but a canine. Most curious.

after a few moments of clearing her mind she realized she was being watched. The white pelted femme blinked a few times then scanned the surrounding area. That was when she noticed the bird like head. She blinked her surprise and slowly approached the animal, circling around. She came to the side and her ears pricked with shock. what she saw was a Griffin. The first she had seen... ever. She started to walk again, her paw steps unsteady. She came with in a few yards of the bird/lion. Dipping her head she opened her maw, "Hello... My calling is Dannie.... What is your calling Griffin?"

Spotted Kywehn ducked behind the bluff, ears and crest flattening against her skull. When she peered over again it was gone. Her ears twitched and she sniffed the air to try and ascertain its position. While the location of the creature was uncertain she half-opened her wings, at the ready if needed.
Startled by the other's sudden appearance Kywehn's expression was a reflection of Dannie's, ears pricked, crest raised and reflexes at the ready. As Dannie approached Kywehn ducked a moment and spread her wings fully as if to take off, then she read the caution in the other's step and listened as it spoke its name.
Griffin, Dannie called her, a curious pronunciation of the word Grihfohn, but then again this was a rather curious creature before her. "Dannie," she rolled the name over her tongue. "I am Kywehn." (KII-vehn, long "i" short "e")

The griffin copied her expression,
"Dannie," the griffin rolled the name over her tongue a bit, "I am Kywehn."
"Nice to meet you Kywehn" She had to try a few times to get the pronounciation correct. Dannie was still sitting, her 'collar' glinting in the sun, it had the name 'Sara' on it, her shiny antlers, glinted very slightly and her tail around her paws as she watched Kywehn.

"... Nice to meet you as well, Dannie," Kywehn responded. It had been a while since she really interacted with anyone outside of hunting for food, and, well, you don't really converse with your food.
This Dannie was an interesting creature, there weren't many things that would walk so boldly up to a grihfohn. Kywehn was close to the size of a horse in height, though a bit longer in body and she was practically full-grown, just needing to fill out into her adult frame a little more. She studied the creature before her with curiosity, perhaps the boldness was born of less visible powers and prowess than her size and build suggested.

"... Nice to meet you as well, Dannie,"
She dipped her head slightly, eyes keen on Kywehn. Horse sized bird and cat like animal, She stood slowly, her tail low an she only took a few more steps then settled herself down, her different colored eyes, one blue and the other red, watching the massive beak. Her ears twitched, fully alert, and her tail once again around her paws.

(occ: Sorry for the delay, I just became an aunt this weekend!)
The other's silence unsettled Kywehn. What was this all about, anyway? This curious creature walking up so boldly. What could Dannie possibly want of her?
Her beak clicked sharply together once and she reshuffled her large wings along her back. "So ..." She began, "what do you want?"
