Finally Slept

[Fluffy]

Turquoise eyes battered open, the sun beat down on Cal's furry body. He squinted towards the bright light and stretched out on his back, all vulnerable like. How embarassing would it be if someone happened upon me like this? He smirked at the thought, even though it wouldn't be a funny situation.

Caly continued soaking up the heat and sunlight, his tail had begun wagging slowly and his easy smile was covering his whole face. This was the life, carefree and easygoing, what could possibly go wrong?

He rolled over, forgetting he was next to a stream and splashed into the cold water, unable to find a foothold he flailed meaninglessly.

Finally realizing the water was onling about 2.5 feet deep Caly blushed to himself, crawling out of the water and falling in an exhausted heap.

A new scent came downstream. Cal's ears perked up, DANG!, he thought, what if someone had been watching his little mishap...

Setmi padded along the stream, unable to smell the wolf that was just ahead of him, yet the flash of color and movement focused his attention just as the wolf fell into the stream and flailed before seeming to realize the water was trule not very deep.

Unable to help himself, Setmi snickered and approached the male, shit-eating grin apparent on his long muzzle. "That was a rather sad attempt at suicide; you need the water to be much deeper," He said, making use of one of his usual morbid, sarcastic greetings. "If you hadn't gotten out, I rather think I would have sat here and watched, just to say I did indeed see an idiot drown in shallow water."

He laughed and sat back on his hindquarters, uncaring that his biomechanical leg was on the wet ground - it was waterproof. He cocked his head and sat there grinning at the embarrassed wolf, tail thumping good naturedly on the ground.

Calyxte turned away slightly, blushing, but assumed the teasing was all just good fun. He turned back not bothering to try not to appear embarrassed, "Uh...hi," he barked, sitting back on his haunches, water still dripping off his heavy coat, his cheeks still bright with embarrassment.

It only took a few seconds, however, for Calyxte to recover his at-ease smile. After all, this other guy had gotten a good laugh out of Caly's error.

"So what brings you out here?" He asked, coiling his tail around his damp body.

Setmi ran his long notched tongue over his scarred muzzle and made no effort to hide his eyes running over the wolfs wet body. Why must he be such a sucker for wet men? Once more meeting the males eyes, he shrugged and flashed a toothy smile.

"Just attempting to get back in touch with my wild side," He said, laughing as though it were some intimate joke. Pinning the turquoise eyed wolf with a heavy gaze, Setmi stood up and stretched languidly, the familiar sensation of his scars and old burns stretching tightly against his skin.

Shaking himself, he scratched at his neck with his biomechanical leg, the claws on it much better at scratching then the dull ones on his true paw. "The name's Setmi; to what title do I call you by pretty?"

Calyxte flinched as the males eyes ran over his body, mainly because he was so...wet. He smiled anxiously as the other spoke.

His eyes ran over the jackal's body, he seemed to pay special attention to every scar. This guy didn't look like someone you mindlessly challenged. He caught himself before he stared mindlessly at the well muscled boy's body, attractive, he thought.

"The name's Setmi; to what title do I call you by pretty?" the male said/asked.

"I'm Calyxte, but I usually go by Cal," Calyxte answered, thinking about Setmi's name, it sounded like that of and Egyption God, Set. He smiled widely, bowing slightly, "Pleasure to meet you."

Cal regained his sitting position, he felt slightly drawn to the albino male. Something about him...

Setmi caught the male looking at him as he had look at, ah, Cal, was it? Smirking, he arched a brow as the tri-colored wolf bowed. Ah, it was the name again. Setmi chuckled and shook his head, thoroughly amused.

"No bowing required Caly," Setmi said. "No relation, honest."

Setmi stood once more and strode towards the smaller male, grin plastered on his face as he glided a circle around the wet male, pausing behind him to place his muzzle by Cal's wet ear. "And the pleasure is all mine, I assure you."

He walked past the wolf, tail brushing along the males cheek. Back turned to Cal now, he bent and drank from the stream, long tongue lapping loudly.

Watched as the male padded towards him, moving in a circle around him. Caly felt a happy sensation in his heart as Setmi stopped behind him, whispering in his ear. His ear twitched and his head turned to look at the white male.

Setmi walked on past Cal, and Caly couldn't help but let his eyes continue scanning over the battered body of the male as his white tail drifted accross his cheek. Cal's insides melted.

Pushing himself to his feet Calyxte realized how heavy his wet fur really was, no matter, he strode over next to the albino and leaned over to get a drink too. As if he hadn't had enough water...

Cal glanced over at Setmi, quickly looking back in case the male looked at him. He closed his eyes and ejoyed the cool water around his nose.

Setmi flicked a torn ear at the sound of Cal joining him, he cracked open an eye and caught the male looking away, knowing that the tri-colored wolf had just been gazing at him. Smiling he straightened, water dripping from his narrow muzzle, his long tongue laving across it.

Tilting his head, Setmi looked at the wolf drinking. He remembered meeting another wolf in a similar position such as this, and he grinned as he recalled what had become of that.

Backing up a few steps, Setmi suddenly lunged at the wolf, knocking Cal into the water. Bursting into laughter, Setmi stood over him with merriment in his small pink eyes and a huge grin across his scrawny face.

"That would be my bad," He snickered.

Cal noticed Setmi back away, but continued lapping at the cold water. He barely had time to think before he was tackled into the water, laughing this time.

Cal sat up, his fur even more drenched and clenging to the part of his body above the water.
He laughed with the jackal at his being tossed into the water.

"That would be my bad," Setmi had snickered.
"Sure," Cal said jokingly, splashing Setmi and then wading over to the opposite bank and heaving himself and his heavy fur out of the water once more. He turned to face the other male, still in the water, and lay down. He let his paws hang over into the water.

His tail swayed happily behind him as he waited for Setmi to either get out of the water too, pull him back in, or do something very random.

Setmi followed the male to the other bank, still chuckling. The water did not bother him; his fur was hardly long enough to keep him warm, let alone retain water. So he lay before the other wolf, half submerging himself in the water.

He stuck his nose in the water and blew bubbles, eyes on the tri-colored wolf, their pink orbs sparkling with mirth. Lifting his head, he sneezed, some of the water having gotten into his nostrils. He shot an apologetic look at Cal before laving his long tongue across the wolfs face.

"Sorry about that," Setmi said, apologizing not for the lick, but the sneeze, of course.

Cal's eyes followed the jackal as he came to rest on the bank with him. He watched as Setmi blew bubbles in the clear liquid, laughing slightly at the sight.

The male drew back out of the water, sneezing as some of the water had gotten in his nose, and then gave Cal's face a lick.

"Sorry about that," the jackal apologized for sneezing.
"It's ok," Calyxte barked kindly, running his tongue along the side of the other male's scarred face. He smiled and lay his head on his paws. He noticed the sun had progressed a bit through the sky.

Setmi blinked slowly, the side of his face tingling a little from where the wolf had licked him. He definately hadn't expected that. A few angry words from Cal, maybe. A look of disgust, expected. But a lick back?

He looked at the wolf with widened eyes, unsure how to react. He was used to hitting on pretty young males, a sort of past time in itself, as was the rejection. This... acceptance blew his mind. He was totally lost as to what to do.

He mirrored Cal and lay his head down, gazing at the wolf with furrowed brows. Now here was a mystery, and this one would hopefully prove challenging.

Caly stared at his reflection on the water, sighing happily. He turned his head to face Setmi, who seemed to not have been expecting him to reply kindly to the lick he'd given him. Cal turned back to face the calm surface of the water, staring at his own reflection.

He licked his top lip, beginning to feel hungry, but not enough to go hunt. He wouldn't appriciate the meat. Instead he rolled over on his back, his fur was almost dry now and didn't cling to the dirt and other particles on the ground quite so much. He let his tail sway.

Attractive, Calyxte thought again, his glowing eyes gliding over the jackal's body once more. Scarred men were so darn attractive! He half shut his eyes as he looked towards the still bright, but dimming, sky. How long have I been out here? Caly thought, And why does it matter? I have no place to go...
